It is forbidden to modify, change the name, take off the watermarks or alter the tubes.
It is forbidden to share them in groups or offer them on your site, blog or forum.
If you want to use them to create a tutorial, you must ask the permission of the authors.

Odette has the permission of the creators to use their tubes, masks and decorations
Thank you to all of them.
Without their beautiful creations, no tutorials could be written.

Odette uses PSPX8 and I use PSP2018 to create the tags of her tutorials
but you can follow this tutorials with any other version of PSP
according to the version you use, the result might be slightly different

tubes - mask

open all tubes
window/duplicate. Close the originals and work with the copies to preserve the originals
don’t forget to erase tubes’ watermarks before using them
open the mask and minimize it to tray
install all plugins needed

Hints and Tips
TIP 1 -> if you don’t want to install a font -->
open it in a software as « Nexus Font » (or other font viewer software of you choice)
as long as both windows are opened (software and font), your font will be available in your PSP
TIP 2 -> from PSPX4, in the later versions of PSP the functions « Mirror » and « Flip » have been replaced by -->
« Mirror » --> mirror -> mirror horizontal
« Flip » --> mirror -> mirror vertical

Use the pencil to follow the steps
hold down Left click to grab it and move it


open a new transparent image 900 * 600 pixels
selections -> select all
copy / paste the landscape into selection
selections -> select none
effects -> image effects -> seamless Tiling / default settings

layers -> duplicate
layers -> merge -> merge all (flatten)

adjust -> blur -> gaussian blur

layers -> duplicate

layers -> new mask layer -> from image

layers -> merge -> merge group
adjust -> sharpness -> sharpen more

effects -> plugin s-> FM Tile Tools / Blend Emboss / default settings
highlight bottom layer
copy / paste the landscape tube as new layer
layers -> merge -> merge all (flatten)
adjust -> one step photo fix


image -> add borders -> tick « symmetric » -> 3 pixels color #673b68

image -> add borders -> 30 pixels (light color)
select this border with the magic wand tool
effects -> texture effects -> tile

selections -> invert
effects -> 3D effects -> cutout

selections -> select none
image -> add borders -> tick « symmetric » -> 3 pixels color #673b68
image -> resize -> tick « resize all layers » -> 900 pixels (width)
adjust -> sharpness -> unsharp mask

copy / paste the character tube
image -> resize -> untick « resize all layers » -> 70% TWICE
adjust -> sharpness -> sharpen
place it as shown in the final result

effects -> 3D effects -> drop shadow -> 5 / 5 / 50 / 15 / color #673b68

copy / paste the text tube as new layer
place it as shown in the final result
apply your watermark
layers -> merge -> merge all (flatten)
adjust -> sharpness -> sharpen

open the bulbs tube - resize 50% (untick « resize all layers ») twice
adjust -> hue and saturation

copy / paste as new layer
place it as shown in the final result
layers -> duplicate
adjust -> add/remove noise -> add noise / gaussian / 45 / tick « monochrome »

highlight top layer
adjust -> add/remove noise -> add noise / gaussian /  35 / tick « monochrome »

effects -> plugins -> VanDerLee / snowscape

highlight the other layer with the bulbs and redo the same effect / same settings

close the eye of top layer
file -> save as... type .psd (to animate into UGA)
if you want to animate with Animation Shop, save as... type .AnimationShop

explanations to animate using UGA
open UGA -> open your work

at the bottom -> duplicate frame
in the objects column close the eye of the first layer with the bulbs, and open the eye of the other one

view your animation to make sure evrything is OK
save as... type .gif

your tag is finished
