Franie works with PSP 18, and I use PSP 2018
But this tutorial can be realized with another version of PSP
however, some differences might be noticed according to the version you use

Hints and Tips
TIP 1-> if you don’t want to install a font -->
open it in a software as « Nexus Font » (or other font viewer software of you choice)
as long as both windows are opened (software and font), your font will be available in your PSP
TIP 2 -> from PSPX4, in the later versions of PSP the functions « Mirror » and « Flip » have been replaced by -->
image -> Mirror  --> image -> mirror -> mirror horizontal
image ->  Flip  -->image -> mirror -> mirror vertical

2 tubes (characters) - 2 masks - 1 Text - 1 Font - 1 color palette

open the masks and minimize them to tray

Don’t hesitate to change colors and blend modes of the layers
to match your tubes and images
color 1 -> #c1bd50
color 2-> #783411

prepare colors 1 and 2 into the materials palette

open a new transparent image 950 * 600 pixels

flood fill with color 1
layers -> new raster layer
flood fill with color 2
layers -> new mask layer -> from image

adjust -> sharpness -> sharpen more
layers -> merge -> merge group
effects -> 3D effects -> drop shadow / color 1

layers -> merge -> merge down

layers -> duplicate
effects -> image effects -> seamless tiling

effects -> reflection effects -> rotating mirror

image -> resize -> untick « resize all layers » -> 50%
layers -> duplicate
image -> mirror -> mirror vertical
blend mode of the layer : Hard Light (or other, according to your colors)
layers -> merge -> merge down
adjust -> sharpness -> sharpen more
effects -> image effects -> offset

layers -> duplicate
effects -> image effects -> seamless tiling / default settings

enable the selection tool -> rectangle -> custom selection


DELETE on your keyboard
selections -> select none
blend mode of the layer : Multiply

in the materials palette, prepare a linear gradient

enable the selection tool -> rectangle -> custom selection

layers -> new raster layer
flood fill selection with the gradient
effects -> 3D effects -> drop shadow / color 2

layers -> duplicate
image -> mirror -> mirror horizontal
effects -> image effects -> offset -> H : 32 / V : 0

flood fill with color 1
layers -> new mask layer -> from image

layers -> duplicate
layers -> merge -> merge group
adjust -> sharpness -> sharpen
layers -> arrange -> move down twice

layers -> merge -> merge visible
edit -> copy / paste as new image -> minimize it to tray for a later use

image -> add borders -> tick « symmetric » -> ...

select this border with the magic wand tool
effects -> artistic effects -> halftone

adjust -> sharpness -> sharpen
selections -> invert
selections -> modify -> contract / 2 pixels
effects -> 3D effects -> cutout / color 2

redo the same effects changing (5) by (-5)

image -> add borders -> tick « symmetric » -> ...

select this border with the magic wand tool
open the image you minimized to tray in step 7 -> edit copy
layers -> new raster layer
edit -> paste into selection
effectgs -> plugins -> Simple -> 4Way Average
effects -> edge effects -> enhance
selections -> select none

copy / paste as new layer « saint-patrick_3 »
iamge -> resize -> untick « resize all layers » -> 90%
move the layer slightly to the left (see final result)
adjust -> sharpness -> sharpen
layers -> duplicate
effects -> texture effects -> mosaic antique

layers -> arrange -> move down
highlight top layer (Raster 2)
effects -> 3D effects -> drop shadow / color 1

copy / paste as new layer the text « Patrick Day »
move it to the right
effects -> plugins -> Mura’s Seamless / Emboss at Alpha / default settings
effects -> 3D effects -> drop shadow / color 2 -> -2 / 2 / 100 / 2

write the copyright © license number of the tube if you have one
apply your watermark
layers -> merge -> merge all (flatten)
save as... type .jpeg
