Franie works with PSPX3, and I use PSP 2019
But this tutorial can be realized with another version of PSP
however, some differences might be noticed according to the version you use

The tubes Franie uses have been sent by the authors on different groups

Hints and Tips
TIP 1-> if you don’t want to install a font -->
open it in a software as « Nexus Font » (or other font viewer software of you choice)
as long as both windows are opened (software and font), your font will be available in your PSP
TIP 2 -> from PSPX4, in the later versions of PSP the functions « Mirror » and « Flip » have been replaced by -->
image -> Mirror --> image => mirror => mirror horizontal
image -> Flip --> image => mirror => mirror vertical

hold down left click to grab and move it

open the alpha layer
layers => duplicate
close the original and work with the copy
all the selections you will need are included (invisible, on the alpha channel)

set color #b51a00 as FG color into the materials palette

selections => save-load selection => on the alpha channel => selection #1

flood fill selection with FG color
keep selection active
selections => modify => contract => 10 px
layers => new raster layer
open « motif-voeux 2019 » => edit copy
and minimize for a later use
edit => paste into selection
selections => select none
layers => merge => merge down

selections => save-load selection => on the alpha channel => selection #4

flood fill with FG color
effects => 3D effects => drop shadow => 0 / 2 / 45 / 5 / black
selections => select none
image => mirror => mirror horizontal

flood fill with FG color
effects => 3D effects => drop shadow => -2 / 0 / 45 / 5 / black

enable the Pick tool and stretch to the right
keep selection active
selections => modify => contract => 10 px
copy / paste « motif-voeux2019 » as new layer
move where you like (or see final result)

DELETE on your keyboard
selections => select none
layers => merge => merge down
effects => 3D effects => drop shadow => 0 / 0 / 45 / 5 / black

make sur every element is properly placed
layers => merge => merge visible (important ! don’t flatten)
effects => 3D effects => drop shadow => 0 / 0 / 75 / 15 / black
name your work « enveloppe » and minimize to tray

The card

open a new transparent image 385 * 305 px
prepare the materials palette : place the pattern provided in the FB box

flood fill layer with this pattern
selections => select all
layers => new raster layer
selections => modify => contract => 5 px
flood fill selection with color #a9718c
effects => texture effects => texture

selections => select none

Text and Decoration

Franie provides a font and decorations
choose your own way to decorate and the text to write
effects => plugins => Mura’s Seamless / Emboss at Alpha / default settings (for the text)
drop a shadow of your choice
apply your signature or watermark
layers => merge => merge visible (don’t flatten)
rename your work « card »

final work

open a new transparent image 860 * 520 px
copy / paste the enveloppe as new layer
move to the left => free rotate 18° left
effects => 3D effects => drop shadow => 0 / 0 / 75 / 15 / black
copy / paste the card as new layer
free rotate 13° right
effects => 3D effects => drop shadow => 0 / 0 / 75 / 15 / black
move to the right (see final result)
layers => merge => merge visible (don’t flatten)
file => save as... type .png (to preserve transparency)
