Animabelle worked with PSPX6 and I worked with PSP2020
you can follow this tutorial with another version of PSP, but the result might be slightly different

Supplies
tubes – mask – palette – image – brush tip - font (provided by the translator)

TIP 1 -> if you don’t want to install a font -->
open it in a software as « Nexus Font » (or other font viewer software of you choice)
as long as both windows are opened (software and font), your font will be available in your PSP
TIP 2 -> from PSPX4, in the later versions of PSP the functions « Mirror » and « Flip » have been replaced by -->
« Mirror »has become  --> image => mirror => mirror horizontal
« Flip » has become  --> image => mirror => mirror vertical

Prepare your work
duplicate all the tubes and work with the copies to preserve originals
open the mask and mimimize to tray
double click on the presets and it will be installed automatically
save your work often in case of problems with your psp
use the Dropper tool to pick up your colors into your tubes and misted images
Animabelle chose these :

don’t hesitate to change blend modes and opacities of the layers to match your personal colors and tubes

open a new image => transparent =>  900 * 600 px
flood fill with color 1
selections => select all
layers => new raster layer
flood fill with color 2
layers => new mask layer => from image

layers => merge => merge group
adjust => sharpness => sharpen more
enable the Selection tool / custom selection

copy / paste  « fond_paris » into selection
selections => select none
copy / paste the fireworks tube as new layer
place properly
adjust => sharpness => sharpen
copy / paste the character tube as new layer
image => resize => untick « resize all layers » => 80%
adjust => sharpness => sharpen
effects => 3D effects => drop shadow => -15 / 15 / 60 / 40 / black
place as shown on final result
layers => new raster layer
enable the Selection tool / custom selection

flood fill selection with the following sunburst gradient

effects => plugins => Unlimited 2 => Funhouse => ZigZaggerate

selections => select none
effects => edge effects => enhance
effects => 3D effects => drop shadow => -3 / 3 / 60 / 20 / black
effects => 3D effects => drop shadow => 3 / -3 / 60 / 20 / black
in the materials palette, place black as FG & BG color
enable the Font Tool with the following settings

or choose a font you like and write the text « new year » (or another text of your choice)
TN => I added the font I chose (Rassle Dazzle) in the supplies
Layers => promote background layer
effects => 3D effects => drop shadow => -3 / 3 / 80 / 1 / WHITE
hihglight Raster 3 (the character layer)
copy / paste the clock tube as new layer
image => resize => untick « resize all layers » => 70%
place as shown on final result
adjust => hue and saturation => colorize / Hue : 153 / saturation : 20
adjust => sharpness => unsharp mask

layers => merge => merge all (flatten)
selections => select all
selections => modify => contract => 3 px
selections => invert
flood fill selection Black
selections => select none
image => add borders => tick « symmetric » => 50 px white
select the white border with the Magic Wand tool
selections => promote selection to layer
flood fill selection with the following linear gradient (colors 1 & 2)

adjust => add-remove noise => add noise

effects => plugins => Unlimited 2 => &<Background Kaleidoscope> => @Mirrored & Scaled

effects => plugins => Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Impact / Glass
find the preset provided in the « settings » tab

layers => merge => merge all (flatten)
selections => select all
selections => modify => contract => 3 px
selections => invert
flood fill selection Black
selections => select none
layers => new raster layer
enable the Brush tool and import the brush tip provided (bonne_annee_animabelle)
whith black as FG color in the materials palette, left click of your mouse =>
apply the brush in the top left corner (see final result)
effects => 3D effects => drop shadow => 3 / 3 / 30 / 6 / BLACK
layers => duplicate
image => mirror => mirror horizontal
layers => merge => merge down
layers => duplicate
image => mirror => mirror vertical
layers => merge => merge all (flatten)
apply your watermark or signature on a new layer
write your licence number if you used a licenced tube
layers => merge => merge all (flatten)
file => save your work as... type .jpeg
